Main Street Fest 2017
The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is hosting the 6th Annual Main Street Fest. The 3-day event is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 21 – 23 on the 200 block of W. Main St. and surrounding areas. The festival, with FREE parking and admission, will celebrate the fun, festive, family atmosphere of Grand Prairie with live music featuring Texas country singer songwriters, hip-hop, contemporary, today’s hits and so much more! Throughout the event you can enjoy a variety of novelty entertainment, carnival rides, arts & crafts vendors, business expo vendors, four entertainment stages, food & beer gardens, a KIDZONE and plenty of fun for all!
Last year’s Main Street Fest, attracted over 20,000 visitors, received ten state-wide awards by the Texas Festivals and Events Association and Texas Recreation and Parks Society. With great weather and the success from last year, the 2017 festival is projected to bring an attendance of 26,000 visitors into downtown Grand Prairie. The improved access to the event with the opening of Main St. in the heart of Grand Prairie will make traveling to the festival and leaving after the event much easier and quicker for all.

Saturday, April 22, 2017 – 10:00 a.m. – midnight
Sunday, April 23, 2017 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Awards & Honors-
With the grand success from the past five years, the City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department and Main Street Fest Team, has been nominated and recognized for multiple regional and state-wide awards and titles.
In 2014, the event was named the “Best Festival Runner-Up in North Texas” by Dallas A-List Magazine!
In 2015, the event received 11 state-wide awards and was named the Zenith Festival of the Year: #3 Best Festival in Texas, by the Texas Festival and Events Association! Below are the awards Main Street Fest received:
