Where is Main Street Fest?

Held in the City of Grand Prairie, Main Street Fest is located in downtown Grand Prairie, at 200 W. Main Street and surrounding locations. (City Hall Campus)

What are the festival hours?

Friday, April 21, 2017 – 5:00 p.m. – midnight

Saturday, April 22, 2017 – 10:00 a.m. – midnight

Sunday, April 23, 2017 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

What is the cost to attend Main Street Fest?

Main Street Fest is a FREE community event, provided to the citizens and visitors of the City of Grand Prairie. However, purchases will be required at particular locations. The Carnival, Food & Beverage Areas, Arts & Crafts and Beer Locations will require a fee or purchase or sale. 

When is the “All You Can Ride” pass night?

Carnival will be selling “All You Can Ride” passes for Friday night ONLY.

Is the event rain or shine?

Yes, however some activities may be postponed or rescheduled to a later time during the day. If there is inclement weather please seek shelter in the on-site covered parking garages. City staff will assist with the safety and shelter if weather permits.

Where is general parking?

Parking is located throughout downtown Grand Prairie. You may park at any city facility.

Where is handicap parking?

Handicap parking is located at the HR Parking Lot. This location is on the south west-side of the event.

Are there ATMs on site?

Yes. ATM’s are on site and will be available to event patrons. Usage fees are set in place by vendor and they are a “Use At Your Own Risk” amenity.

Are there activities for children?

Absolutely! The KIDZONE is geared to youth of all ages! This sprawling area is lined with music, art and interactive games designed to entertain, enlighten, and empower kids with hands on activities. Whether it’s performing on stage, making a earth day craft or visual masterpiece or participating in the Kids Celebration family area is a must see and do attraction while at Main Street Fest!

If a parent loses a child, where should they go?

The Lost Child Tent is located in the center of the event. You will find the Lost Child Tent on the west corner of the Arts and Crafts Area, in conjunction with the Grand Prairie Fire Department Tent. This location is a good place for your family to plan to meet up if anyone becomes separated.

Is the site wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Please keep in mind this event is spread across several parking lots and city streets.

Are coolers allowed at Main Street Fest?

No, outside coolers are not allowed within the festival area.

Are dogs allowed at Main Street Fest?

Yes. Please be respectful of others by keeping your pets on a leash and cleaning up after them, when needed.

Are lawn chairs/blankets allowed?

Yes, but please be respectful of others. Chairs should be low to the ground and have backs at shoulder height. Keep in mind that unless otherwise noted, this is “festival viewing” with no reserved seating and patrons may be standing in front of you during a performance. We want everyone to enjoy the concerts and have a great time. Be respectful of people around you and please share your space, get to know your neighbors, and make room for others. Seating will be provided on a first-come, first serve basis.

Who produces Main Street Fest?

The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts and Recreation Department and various City of Grand Prairie Departments plans for, hosts and operates this annual event.
